juice, coffee, & a sunny sunday scramble

Hello first sun of the year in Seattle! For real.

I really love the Aeropress.  It is the best.  Never mind our very well used rusty kettle.

We've been gettin juicy with it lately.

apple, carrot, lime, orange, celery, greens, & ginger today.

not too much celery, though!!! or you'll be sorry.  thank heavens for my zingy & spicy bff, ginger.

the green onion and black olives really do it for me.

finish this off with a few errands, a leisurely bike ride, late daffodil planting, chili & jalapeño cornbread for dinner, and you've got yourself a splendid sunday like we've had :)

primary color kitchen

it's always happy hour in this house.

When we moved into this house last summer, the wall color in the kitchen was this crazy bright school bus yellow.  Both of us were surprised at how much we liked it, so it is here to stay.  It is like an instant happy-maker when you walk in :)  As the rest of the kitchen items found homes, primary colors effortlessly became the main visual theme in here.  It is a pretty small kitchen, so the basic color scheme keeps it looking clean & simple, but fun!
